Holy Sheath!

Hi guys!

I don’t think it was until after I interned for Tracy that I realized how much I adored her dresses. I’ve got about 5 at this point & it’s all because of how comfortable, stylish, and colorful they are! Her prints are always different and original while the silhouettes tend to be really flattering on me. This print has a twist – an atypical colorway and manipulation for a classic leopard motif.

I’m ‘falling’ for this upcoming season’s trends and staples and I cannot wait to start layering again! I went for a dressy/casual look with this sheath dress pairing it with my denim jacket, gold hoops, and chunky leather heels. I also thought a burgundy lip would hint more towards fall – and that the forest green & burgundy color combo was more interesting than the green with a true red or pink.

How are you falling into the next season?

Fashion Week is full of fun promoting festivities, so we were able to get a free ride all the way to the Meatpacking District for brunch with the people behind www.nymag.com/thecut!

Unlimited mimosas! They brought out orange, strawberry, and blackberry flavors!

I’m a foodie, so I have to share what I ate: salmon, poached eggs with hollandaise sauce, and spinac! Yum!

After we ate, we were invited to the back where we drank even more and had dessert! I had a Nutella and banana crepe!

The After Party

On the way to the after party! I missed it last year and I’m sooo glad I was able to make it this time!

The private party was held in this swanky venue called the Stone Rose Lounge on the 4th floor of the Time Warner building in Columbus Circle. It was beautiful [and pretty packed] in there!

There was a big screen up displaying video from the show

When I first arrived!

So for those of you who don’t know, Fashion’s Night Out is a night when designers and retailers have different fun events across the country. Primarily in NYC and LA, it includes tons of celebrity appearances, giveaways, parties, and more! I took sooo many photos, so I tired to pick my favs and consolidate with a slideshow.

Hereeee we gooo…

Meet Booboo. Believe me, she was just as excited

What I Wore:

Plenty by Tracy Reese Lace Dress from Anthropologie (loveee, it was the last one in the store<3)

This party was so worth the 2 hour wait! It was literally like Club DVF in there with Solange on the 1s and 2s!

Diane Von Furstenburg herself! Sorry so blurry, but she was moving through the crowd super fast! She seemed so down-to-earth when she was speaking to us and told us to “have fun, but get home in time to hear our President speak”, since it was the last day of the DNC. I would love to work for her one day!

Not completely sure what these girls were protesting, but they were yelling at us while we stood in line, haha

Oh hayyy Solange

She’s such a good DJ! I was impressed

Free drinks all night!

Yeeeaaa, one of the best parties I’ve ever been to!

The Tracy Reese Annual Dance-a-Thon in her store windows
